Q: Can vibration exercise be used as part of a broader fitness program?
A: The machine is also good for pre/post exercise for those doing other exercises. The vibration exercises may reduce the amount of cortisol hormones produced by the body. As a result, when doing the vibrations exercises before or after the main exercise, they may prevent the damage of the muscle.
Q: What if I don't like exercise or get board easily?
A: Vibration machines are effective for those who would like to exercise in different positions effectively, yet in a short time span. The machine is very attractive for those who usually get tired and bored of exercising. Although used for short time, the exercise is very effective. Generally, you would exercise for a maximum of 1 minute in one position. And the 1 minute would be sufficient for the user to feel the effect of the exercise.
Q: What is the difference between Oscillating and Lineal platforms?
A: There are two types of platforms which utilize weight bearing vibration technology; those with a lineal action which vibrate in a vertical, 3D fashion and those which oscillate in a pivotal or see-saw action. The oscillating action is considered to be more therapeutic as it may increase mobility in the pelvis, and encourage skeletal realignment. It is known that oscillating platforms prevent bone loss in sheep and chickens and preliminary trials on postmenopausal women have had positive results in bone growth. Research has found that low amplitude vibrations may be better for humans; however, the human response to Hz is said to differ from person to person.
Q: Does this machine come with a book of all the exercises you can do?
A: Machine comes with a Basic Workout DVD only.
Q: Will I get thinner after using this? And for how many days till the result will be clearly seen?
A: It will assist with weight lose which would incorporate a combination of a healthy eating plan and regular exercise.
Q: Could a vibration platform workout replace my fitness program?
A: Vibration platforms may increase isometric (static) and isotonic (dynamic) muscle strength, may increase flexibility and mobility, may improve co-ordination and may improve core stability. The only training effect that regular training may elicit that a vibration platform cannot is to increase the size of the heart muscle. It really depends on your personal aims but it could be a replacement or an enhancement for to any fitness program.
Q: Can I use the Vibration platform to increase my flexibility?
A: The Vibration platform uses the Janda Stretch method which may increase joint mobility. In this process, the muscle contracts and relaxes and all muscles and joints that are utilized during the exercise are fully mobilized. Furthermore, adhesions may loosen from the vibration, which would help to increase flexibility. Additionally, the Golgi apparatus in the muscles are activated while training on the Vibration platform, which may result in high levels of relaxation. Muscles may lengthen during active and functional positions while on the Vibration platform, but explosive muscle strength is not affected. |

Q: Should I avoid using the Vibration platform with bare feet?
A: To ensure correct transfer of vibrations to the body, there should be as little friction as possible between the body and the Vibration platform. This is most easily achieved while wearing flexible-soled shoes (while these do not have to be training shoes, they are recommended). However, if you would like to train barefoot and when you are performing exercises where other parts of the body are in contact with the machine please ensure the rubber base is used.
Q: How often should I use the Vibration Platform?
A: Every day! The timer allows for up to a 10 minute session and this can be performed 2-3 times per day. There are many different vibration exercises that can be performed on the platform to keep your exercise varied and fun. Due to the nature of the machine, the elderly can activate their muscles in a simple, safe way without extra strain on the joints and ligaments. However, it is best to do so with trained supervision until you are familiar with the platform.
Q: Are there any age limits for use with the Vibration Machine?
A: So long as there is trained supervision, children as young as 12 can use the Vibration platform as young people may also benefit from vibration training. All exercises should be in 'Low' mode; their duration and their frequency should be adapted to the specific person involved. We suggest supervision is needed for 12-16 year-olds. As for the other end of the scale, we have had people up to 75 years of age training easily on the Vibration platform, which may benefit conditions such as osteoporosis and arthritis.
Q: Are there Contra Indications that I should be aware of?
A: Always remember before beginning any exercise programme or using the Energym Turbu Charger, you should consult your medical practitioner for a complete physical examination. Do not use the Energym Turbo Charger if any of the following apply to you (not exhaustive):
Acute inflammations, some joint disorders, retinal detachment, acute rheumatoid arthritis, serious cardiovascular diseases, fresh surgery wounds, recent joint implants, heart valve disorders, diabetes, pregnancy, epilepsy, wearing a pacemaker or Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICDs), recent thrombosis, back injury, acute hernia, discopathy, spondylolysis, severe migraine, Recently fitted i.u.d., coils, metal pins or plates, Cancer or Tumours, known neurological conditions, hip and knee replacements, Pulmonary embolism, known retinal conditions, poor somato-sensory receptor sensitivity on the Plantar surfaces of the feet.
Q: How many Kilos, can this machine hold?
A: The Max weight of the user, the machine can take, is approximately 120 kilos.
