Xiaomi has announced a major expansion of its after-sales service network in India, reinforcing its commitment to customer experience in one of its most important global markets. The company revealed plans to open new service centres in 15 additional cities by the first quarter of 2026, as part of a broader strategy to establish 100 service centres nationwide. This move builds on Xiaomi’s service initiatives launched in 2025 and aims to bring faster, more accessible, and more specialised support to users across the country.
India has long been a cornerstone of Xiaomi’s growth strategy, and the latest expansion underscores the brand’s focus on strengthening long-term customer trust beyond product sales. By extending service access to more regions, Xiaomi seeks to reduce turnaround times, improve repair efficiency, and create a more engaging in-store experience for its growing user base.
Phased Rollout Across Key Cities
According to Xiaomi, the expansion has already begun with the first phase of service centre openings at the end of January 2026. New centres were inaugurated in Ludhiana and Indore on January 29, followed by Visakhapatnam, Surat, and Lucknow on January 30. The remaining service centres will be launched in phases throughout the first quarter of 2026, allowing the company to scale operations while maintaining service quality.
This phased approach enables Xiaomi to fine-tune processes, train technical staff, and ensure consistent service standards across all locations. Once completed, the expanded network will significantly improve geographical coverage, especially in fast-growing urban and semi-urban markets.
More Than Just Repairs
Xiaomi emphasized that its new service centres are designed to offer much more than basic device repairs. The facilities will focus on delivering a comprehensive customer experience, supported by dedicated technical staff and streamlined, paperless service processes.
Customers can expect faster repair turnaround times, along with access to product interaction and demo zones where they can explore Xiaomi’s latest devices and ecosystem products. In addition, the centres will also allow customers to purchase Xiaomi products directly, transforming service locations into multifunctional brand touchpoints.
To further strengthen community engagement, Xiaomi will host weekly activities known as “Xiaomi Days” every Wednesday. These events are intended to foster closer interaction between the brand and its users, while also providing service-related benefits and educational sessions.
Discounts, Waivers, and Special Benefits
As part of the expansion, Xiaomi is introducing a range of customer-centric benefits and limited-period offers. Women customers will receive a 30-day service discount, while defence personnel and persons with disabilities will be eligible for lifetime service charge waivers, highlighting Xiaomi’s focus on inclusivity and social responsibility.
Limited-time promotions at the new service centres will include discounts of up to 50 percent on select spare parts, as well as free screen protectors for eligible devices, subject to availability. These initiatives are designed to make after-sales support more affordable and accessible, particularly for users with older or out-of-warranty devices.
Strong Performance Metrics in 2025
Xiaomi also shared performance data from its existing service centres, demonstrating significant improvements achieved in 2025. Nearly 95 percent of devices were repaired and delivered within 24 hours, while repeat visits were kept below 1 percent. Customer escalations remained under 0.5 percent, indicating high levels of satisfaction and operational efficiency.
The company highlighted the success of its Wednesday service initiatives, which benefited more than 5,000 customers. These included free service charges on out-of-warranty repairs and complimentary device health check-ups, further strengthening customer loyalty.
Premium Service Experience
In addition to standard service locations, Xiaomi’s Premium Service Centres continue to offer enhanced benefits. These centres provide priority repairs within 24 hours and offer standby devices if a repair takes longer than two hours, minimizing inconvenience for users who rely heavily on their smartphones.
Looking Ahead
With this aggressive service expansion, Xiaomi is positioning itself not just as a leading device manufacturer, but as a customer-first technology brand in India. By combining faster repairs, expanded coverage, community engagement, and meaningful benefits, the company is setting new benchmarks for after-sales service in the highly competitive Indian smartphone market as it moves into 2026.
